Transfer - International Students

Qualified international students are admitted to ACTS on the same basis as Canadian students. However, international students should note that:

  1. The Canadian Immigration authorities will only grant a student visa to an international student if he or she has been accepted as a full-time student in a particular program. Full-time status requires a minimum of 12 semester hours of credit per semester, or in the case of a thesis student 40 hours of study per week.   2. A letter of acceptance will not be sent by the Seminary until the applicant has provided evidence of sufficient funds to support him or her during the first full year of resident studies. In addition all international students must be fully covered by medical insurance. A certificate of insurance must be produced at registration.
  3. TOEFL Requirement
    As of June 1, 2006, ACTS Seminaries requires that students for whom English is a second language must provide an iBT (internet Based Test) score for entrance into the MLE program. The following minimum scores are required:
100 Total Score (23 minimum per category)
  • 23 Listening
  • 23 Reading
  • 23 Speaking
  • 23 Writing
