Classes - Credit

  1. The academic year is divided into two semesters of approximately 15 weeks.
  2. Classes normally are scheduled from Monday to Friday, with classes normally taught in the mornings. Prerequisite language courses usually require attendance on campus twice per week.
  3. All major examinations are conducted during the final week of the semester. An exam may be rescheduled only because of serious, unavoidable emergencies and a fee is charged for rescheduling.
  4. A semester hour of credit is the unit of measurement for the valuation of courses. A typical course meets three hours per week, and assumes eight to ten hours of preparation.
