Graduation Requirements

  1. Completion of the prescribed curriculum (see Program Requirements), including the spiritual formation requirement, which may be satisfied by taking the Wycliffe Orientation Program offered by Wycliffe Bible Translators of Canada (on this campus), or by taking a specified or approved course.
  2. A minimum of 30 semester hours at ACTS, of which at least 12 semester hours shall be in Biblical studies/exegesis.
  3. A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.7.
  4. For thesis option: a thesis of no less than 25,000 words, showing adequate research, balance and literary style, conforming to the format prescribed by the faculty. The student will also successfully pass an oral examination based upon the thesis.
  5. Give evidence of consistent Christian character, conduct and Biblical faith, and recommendation accordingly by the faculty.

Graduation requires that each student complete 49 semester hours of graduate courses as prescribed for this program in the calendar of ACTS, including thesis or two additional courses plus comprehensive exam, with minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.

A student must apply for graduation, preferably at or before the start of the final semester.

Degrees are conferred annually at the Spring (April) Convocation of ACTS. Notice of completion of degree will be sent to graduate schools by written request of the student in cases where students complete and successfully defend theses at the end of the summer.
