| LING 420 Teaching Reading and Writing in an ESL Context (3 Sem. Hrs.) |

| Linguistics 420 is designed to help students acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to teach English reading and writing effectively to ESL students. A basic overview of English grammar will be given. Theories of second language reading and writing will be investigated. Various methodologies will be studied and evaluated. The focus of this course is specifically on reading and writing skills, and these topics are treated in much greater depth than in the introduction to TESL (EDUC 368). |
