David Smith

David Smith

David is currently pursuing a career as a real estate agent and recently completed the Real Estate Trading Course from UBC Sauder School of Business. He served as a pastor for more than ten years, most recently as the pastor of Crossway Church in Langley. He has been very supportive of CanIL and Wycliffe. Formerly, in his role as pastor, he commissioned multiple CanIL graduates to serve in Bible translation and also had the privilege of pastoring dozens of CanIL students over his years in pastoral ministry.
David is originally from Scotland and has an MA in Divinity from the University of Aberdeen. He has been married to his Canadian wife, Amanda, for nine years. They have one son and one daughter.
David’s hobbies include reading across a wide range of subjects including farming, theology, economics, health, and history; conversing with interesting people; enjoying local food and drink; playing soccer and spending time with his wife and family.
