Kent Royer

Kent Royer

Director of Operations and Finance

Kent and his wife Brenda have been Wycliffe Canada members since 1995 and have served in various support roles. For seven years, they helped to facilitate the effective running of the Africa Orientation Course held at the SIL Cameroon Branch, three years as Director of that program. Kent and Brenda then returned to serve in Personnel, Public Relations and Communication roles with Wycliffe Canada. And now, for the past eight years, Kent has been with us at CanIL serving as Finance Director as well as in Administration and Operations roles.

Kent and Brenda are members of Hillcrest Evangelical Missionary Church in Medicine Hat. On assignment at CanIL, they attend South Langley Church, where they serve in several different volunteer roles. Kent’s claim to fame is being married to Brenda and they have three children and three grandchildren.

Kent says. “My passion is serving the Bible translation ministry so that all peoples can have access to God’s word in the language they understand best.”

Interesting facts: Kent’s hobbies include playing sports like curling and slo-pitch, building and flying remote control airplanes, fishing, hunting and woodworking.

The Canada Institute of Linguistics (CanIL) integrates scholarship in linguistics with service to language communities worldwide.
