She has worked in Literacy and Scripture Engagement across West and Central Africa and taught Linguistics and Scripture Engagement in Europe and North America. As a Literacy Specialist, she taught Sango people to teach and supervise Sango literacy classes in 116 Central African churches. As a Scripture Engagement Specialist, she worked with local pastors, musicians, scriptwriters, actors and 58 radio stations in C\u00f4te d\u2019Ivoire, Mali, Senegal and Burkina Faso creating and airing Scripture-infused dramas and songs. She is an SIL International Scripture Engagement Consultant. American Bible Society certified her as a Trauma Healing Training Facilitator. Michelle helped create the curriculum for the Graduate Institute of Applied Linguistics\u2019 M.A. in World Arts, and wrote parts of the textbooks <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Worship and Mission for the Global Church <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">and <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Creating Local Arts Together<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. She presented papers at conferences in North America and Europe. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Michelle says, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cI love working with CanIL\u2019s motivated, gifted students. It\u2019s my privilege to be a small part of their lives. I love teaching Scripture Engagement because it\u2019s a big-picture course that helps students see the relevance of all their other courses to encourage a community\u2019s use of Scripture.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><b>Interesting facts:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Michelle's field work has been in Burkina Faso,&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Central African Republic, C\u00f4te d'Ivoire, Mali and Senegal. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Languages spoken<\/strong>: French, Jula <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">of C\u00f4te d'Ivoire.&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Education<\/h2>\n<p>2006.
