TRAIN > HOW TO APPLY
How to apply.
Your path depends on what you're pursuing — CanIL’s own programs, a certificate or degree through one of our partners, or the MATS program. Here's where to start for each. Whichever it is, our admissions team can walk you through it. Start with a conversation. Tell our admissions team your goal, and we'll help you find the program and the route that fits.
CanIL Programs
Ready to start?
Summer@CanIL is the most common on-ramp. Complete your prerequisites and test the waters before committing to a full program—all at a reduced rate in a condensed semester.
Looking for a one-off course?
CanIL courses can be taken individually with no need to enroll in a certificate or degree program.
Summer Workshops
The summer workshops for working translators and linguists are handled directly by CanIL. Workshop offerings vary from year to year.
Pursuing a degree?
CanIL's degrees are granted by our university partners, so a degree application goes to the university that confers it.

Looking for MATS?
The Master of Arts in Translation of Scripture follows a different route: students are nominated by a Training Partner Organization rather than applying individually. See the MATS page for more on how that works.
