CanIL trains people to serve alongside minoritized language communities — helping their languages flourish, and helping them meet God in the words they call their own. We're a member of SIL Global, with programs in Langley, BC and Toronto, ON.

Every language is worth the work.

We believe a person's mother tongue is where they learn, remember, and believe most deeply — and that no community should be shut out of education or Scripture because their language was never written down or taught.

So we equip linguists, translators, and teachers, and we put the tools in the hands of the speakers who know each language best. The degrees and credentials come through our university partners; the calling and the training are ours to share.
