Rev. Dr. Danny Foster
President, CEO
A CanIL alumnus who has led the Canada Institute of Linguistics since 2014. Danny’s leadership is shaped by years of linguistic training and capacity-building work in East Africa, along with doctoral research focused on minoritized language communities, educational development, and language policy.

Dr. Randy Lebold
Vice President of Academic Affairs
An educator and sociolinguist who has taught at CanIL since 2009 after field and survey work among minority language communities in Papua, Indonesia. Randy holds a PhD in Educational Studies from Biola University and brings experience in curriculum design, sociolinguistic survey, and training national language surveyors.

Jeremy Haasdyk
Vice President of Finance
CanIL’s VP of Finance, supporting the financial stewardship and operational stability needed for CanIL’s academic and ministry training mission. Jeremy’s leadership helps strengthen the infrastructure behind CanIL’s programs, partnerships, and student support.

Larry Hayashi
Vice President of Language Services & Research
A linguist, instructor, and language technology specialist with deep experience in lexicography, field methods, language software development, and training. Larry’s work has included SIL software development, CanIL communications leadership, and tools such as FieldWorks, Phonology Assistant, and comparative wordlist databases.

Shannon Mischuk
Vice President of Development
A development leader with nearly three decades of pastoral ministry experience, 17 years in banking, and nearly two decades in digital marketing and communications. Since joining CanIL in 2024, Shannon has focused on sustainable funding, donor engagement, and helping students graduate with little or no debt as they prepare for Bible translation and language development work.

Jamie Lang
Director of Community Life
A Wycliffe member since 2006 with cross-cultural experience in Kenya, Tanzania, and North America. At CanIL, Jamie walks alongside students as they prepare for missions, helping strengthen the community life and formation that support their journey into Bible translation and language development.

Radik Svet
Director of Recruitment
A Wycliffe Canada member with years of experience in the Bible translation movement, including work with Indigenous language communities across Eurasia and linguistics work in West Africa. Radik moved to Eurasia in 2019 to oversee language projects and relocated to British Columbia in 2023 due to the war, continuing to support translation projects remotely while serving CanIL as Director of Recruitment.

Lezlie Allison
LAUNCH Director
A Wycliffe and SIL member since 1995 who, with her husband Sean, has been involved in Bible translation work for an unreached people group in Africa. As Launch Director, Lezlie helps prepare future cross-cultural workers for service in Bible translation and service to minoritized languages.

Doug Rintoul
Director of Strategic Data and Technology Services
A longtime Wycliffe member who served in the Philippines in software development and training before joining CanIL in 2002. Doug brings decades of experience in IT, language technology, and strategic data systems, including leadership in CanIL’s technology services.
